I used charcoal from a friend's backyard firepit for my third egg tempra "experiment" painting. I decided to not use white titanium for the priming gesso since older egg tempra paintings from the Medieval Ages did not have this ingredient.
The image is of three boats on Lake Michigan, as seen in a Google maps photo I "took."
This is part of a larger project about heavy industry, power and water by Julianne Lindsey.
